FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (click to expand)
IS HYGIENICA™ TECHNOLOGY EFFECTIVE AT MITIGATING SARS-COV-2?
HYGIENICA™ technology mitigates the virus in conjunction with any EPA registered disinfectant and has been proven to be highly effective at eliminating 99.99% of all viruses, pathogens and bacteria, including:
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLEANING AND DISINFECTING?
Cleaning involves the removal of dirt and impurities, including germs, from surfaces. However, cleaning alone does not kill germs. By removing germs from surfaces, their numbers are reduced, lessening the risk of spreading infection. Disinfectant Cleaning involves the use of chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs; killing germs remaining on a surface after cleaning further reduces the risk of spreading infection.
ARE THESE ELECTROSTATIC OR ELECTRO-HYGIENE ATOMIZERS? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
Electro-Hygiene Atomizers are different from Electrostatic in that they do not electrically charge the solution. Electro-Hygiene technology utilizes ULV (Ultra Low Volume) cold atomizing which attains the same end result but with a more high production and high capacity units. Both processes are designed to kill 99.99% of any pathogen including SARS-CV-2.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES TO ELECTRO-HYGIENE ATOMIZING?
Atomization refers to the process of breaking up liquid solutions like disinfectants into micro-droplets. Our ULV technology atomizes the disinfectant into small droplets that allows for the disinfectant to have the adequate dwell time for the EPA disinfectant to kill the virus. Thermal foggers are not adequate to use for disinfectant procedures as they reduce the atom size to far that makes them ineffective as tested in a recent EPA study.

IS THE HYGIENICA ELECTRO-HYGIENE SYSTEM VERSATILE ENOUGH FOR CONTINUOUS USE THROUGHOUT A FACILITY?
Our system is designed to be the highest productivity machine in the industry providing up to 20,000 sf per hour. Coupled with the fact that our units are agnostic when it comes to the disinfecting solution that you choose to use. Unlike other types of disinfecting sprayers, HYGIENICA™ allows the user to applicate their choice of EPA registered disinfectant from List N, offering more versatility than other products like Clorox 360, Victory and eMist. Further, because our units are ergonomically designed backpacks, the user has the ease of movement and is not dragging anything behind them like other designs.
HOW LONG DOES HYGIENICA™ TECHNOLOGY TAKE TO WORK?
HYGIENICA™ technologies are designed to atomize the disinfectant with a micron size >20-60 uM (depending on the model) when applied to surfaces and will mitigate the virus in 2+ minutes with proper dwell time, depending on the product.
DO YOUR UNITS COME WITH BATTERIES OR CORDED POWER OPTIONS?
HYGIENICA'S technology is powered by 110V power, which allows applicators to maximize production without having to recharge batteries for hours which would require more than one unit per FTE. Batteries also take a long time to recharge and when they have to be replaced the units are obsolete.
WHAT KIND OF DISINFECTANT DOES THE HYGIENICA SYSTEM USE?
The Hygienica Electro-Hygiene system will kill up to 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and pathogens when used in tandem with an EPA-registered disinfectant from List N. However, there are certain types of chemicals you should avoid when using one of our units.
• DO NOT USE to spray highly toxic or undiluted pesticides, insecticides or herbicides.
• DO NOT USE to spray flammable or explosive liquids, or highly volatile chemicals, including but not limited to: gasoline, alcohol, acetone, etc.
• DO NOT USE to spray highly corrosive liquids, including acids and caustic solutions. Citric Acid disinfectants are highly corrosive to machine valves and while safe to use, will damage certain components that void the warranty. User should take extreme caution when using and should thoroughly wash out the unit after each use.
- • DO NOT USE alcohol-based chemicals. When using hydrogen peroxide-based chemicals, make sure solution is properly diluted before adding to tank.
Sales & Support Questions
WHAT TYPES OF PPE DO TECHNICIANS NEED TO WEAR?
Personal protective equipment, or PPE is an essential protocol for all Disinfecting Specialists. Technicians that use HYGIENICA™ technology need to be trained and properly outfitted in PPE and adhere to strict operational protocols such as OSHA-compliant cleaning methods, the use of EPA registered disinfectants and robust safety training.
IS THERE WHOLESALE PRICING FOR DISTRIBUTORS?
Wholesale pricing is available to distribution and large end users whose MOQ is greater than 50 units per month and are resellers. To learn more about our Wholesale Program, contact us at email@example.com.
ARE THESE IN STOCK?
Yes! Our products are in stock and will arrive to your facility in less than 2 weeks. In many cases, the time from order until arrival is less than 1 week for expedited air freight.
HOW LONG WILL YOUR UNITS TAKE TO ARRIVE TO OUR FACILITY?
HYGIENICA'S commitment to clients is to have units arrive to your facility in less than 2 weeks and in many cases from order until arrival is less than 1 week for expedited air freight. Most other products in the US and UK are being sold through a myriad of suppliers that do not control their own supplier chain and thus clients are having to wait 10-12 weeks for their shipments. We control our own supply chain and in fact our production facilities have the capacity to meet over 20,000 units per month arriving to clients in less than 2 weeks.
